I think touch is a good thing, in Hawaii greeting a women with a kiss on the check or a hug to another man or vice versa is something natural.
Same here in Portugal but make sure everybody is comfortable with it… In doubt shake hands!
It also helps if you smell nice, but not by dumping a bucket of cheap perfume over your head.
